IASIM-10
The International Association for Spectral Imaging invites you to Dublin for IASIM-10, a conference on spectral imaging. IASIM provides a single forum for the European spectral imaging community regardless of the spectral (ultraviolet, visible, near, mid or far infrared) or spatial range (microscopic, macroscopic, remote sensing) of images. Continuing in the spirit and focus of EASIM-09, this conference welcomes submissions from imaging researchers in all fields and will strive to explore commonalities across platforms and applications. Given the different development stages of various imaging techniques, cross-fertilisation of ideas and exchange of experience with mathematical exploration techniques will form the bedrock of this third conference.

NIR ON THE GO 2010
Every two-three years in collaboration with ICNIRS the NIR ON THE GO conference offers a unique occasion to gather together people working on NIR applied in field application. Previous meetings were held in Braunschweig (Germany) and Gembluox, (Belgium) and now in the warmer Italy. NIR applications are rapidly moving from labs to fields. What does NIR needs to become the leading technology in monitoring, mapping production of food from the very source? What new sensors and new software are available to develop successful NIR applications? Can we make NIR affordable to any application? Can NIR be a valuable source to increase profitability in the feed/food market? The conference will cover technical and application aspect of this technology with the participation of scientists, sensor and software manufactures, agricultural machinery companies and NIR specialists in different disciplines.

BCS WORKSHOP: SUPPORT VECTOR REGRESSION (SVR)
Most multivariate calibration methods assume there is a linear relation between X and Y which holds for all samples. Two strategies have been followed when this assumption does not hold: - local linear models - nonlinear regression. This workshop will discuss theory and practice of support vector regression, a method that elegantly combines the advantages of both strategies.
